Peter Piper Pizza Teams Up To Deliver STEM Education and Fun

Peter Piper Pizza, where “the fun is baked in,” is partnering with Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF) to further support and promote STEM education for Arizona students through in-restaurant programs, STEM camp scholarships and more.

According to a study by Arizona Daily Independent, student STEM scores have remained stagnant for decades. As an advocate for children’s education, Peter Piper Pizza has provided STEM-focused educational field trips at its restaurants for over five years. These trips give students the chance to participate in interactive and engaging activities that highlight the core concepts of STEM education, including experiences like Pizza Engineering, My Plate Nutrition, a Game Room Scavenger Hunt and more.

“We are committed to making STEM education more accessible and engaging for all children in our communities,” said Peter Piper Pizza Chief Marketing Officer Genaro Perez. “Through our partnership with SARSEF, we are able to help provide additional opportunities for students to learn year-round, both at summer camp and while enjoying pizza and fun at Peter Piper.”

To mark the SARSEF partnership and Pi Day, the official celebration of mathematics on March 14, Peter Piper Pizza will offer a personal cheese pizza for just $3.14, exclusively available at Arizona and Albuquerque locations. To claim the offer, customers must download the app.

Peter Piper Pizza will also provide scholarships for SARSEF Summer STEM camps in June 2025, plus meals for campers and special meal deals for their families.

“SARSEF is grateful to have partnerships with companies like Peter Piper Pizza that support our mission in creating Arizona's future critical thinkers and problem-solvers,” said SARSEF Summer STEM Camp Director Katherine Larned Ortega. “Peter Piper Pizza’s support helps recognize and empower current and future student scientists, engineers and mathematicians.”

Peter Piper Pizza has long supported children’s education and health, donating more than $600,000 annually to schools, hospitals and nonprofits. In April 2024, Peter Piper Pizza launched the Slice of Knowledge Foundation, raising nearly $20,000 during its first-ever fundraising campaign to further support educational initiatives in underserved communities.
