4th Ave's very own Flycatcher announced that it will be closing its doors July 15th to make way for high rise apartments. Many locals are skeptical as to what this will contribute to the downtown culture for years to come. Home to many musical acts and those seeking alternative good vibes now have to venture out to find something new. From Cafe Sweetwater in the 80s-90s, to Plush in 2001 and now The Flycatcher (2014) this historic space on the corner of 4th Ave. and 6th St. will finally be put into an uneasy rest. RIP Flycatcher.
