Following a period of internal restructuring, Shotta says he’s been focused on organizing his environment and distancing himself from those who weren’t moving in alignment with his goals. “Certain people around me were starting to move strangely when it came to money, so I had to take the initiative and subtract them from the equation,” he says. That process of realignment and focus bleeds into the tone and texture of the new record.

I didn’t make it in 15 minutes. I hope it sounds like that,” he shares. He views it as his most polished and well-executed release yet, both in its lyrical construction and its overall sonic presentation.
“The song is meant to be a hazy trap ballad with infectious melodies that force you to play it over and over again,” Shotta explains. “Whether sonically or lyrically, I just think the track is overall dope af.” From subtle harmonies to deliberate pacing, the track reflects the growth of an artist who has always used music as a vehicle for self-expression and survival.
