When Logic performed "1-800-273-8255" at the MTV VMA's in 2017, the day following, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline reported that they experienced a 50% surge in the number of calls to their hotline. And it continued to grow over the weeks. But here is where the good part comes in... Logic, Alessia Cara and Khalid preformed this powerful song again onstage at the Grammy's a few weeks ago and now the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline has reported another surge in calls.
Following January's Grammy performance of "1-800-273-8255" the NSPL reports that calls to the suicide prevention hotline tripled during the two hours after the performance! It's amazing what music can do!
