Summer Walker is clearly over Lil Meech and isn't interested in discussing his cheating allegations.
On Wednesday, October 22, the R&B star sat down for Complex's "360 with Speedy Mormon" and spoke on a wide range of hot topics, including her growth as an artist, touring with Chris Brown, motherhood, and more. At one point during their chat, Speedy brought up her ex-boyfriend, Demetrius Flenory Jr. a.k.a "Lil Meech," and the infamous video that led to the end of their relationship. The leaked Ring camera footage showed him bringing groceries to another woman's home. He claimed she was his cousin, but Walker wasn't convinced.
“It was [infuriating]. That was really ignorant,” Walker said about the situation. "I was like, ‘That’s trifling as f**k.’ I literally don’t even have to say anything on that because his life is terrible now, so yeah.”
The video of Meech caught red-handed went viral in 2023. It sparked plenty of jokes and memes at the actor's expense. Summer Walker even mentioned the infamous video in the trailer for her upcoming album, Finally Over It. In the clip, Walker is hooked up to a polygraph while taking a lie detector test. When asked, "Was it his cousin's groceries?" the singer laughed loudly and replied, "Hell nah, it was not his cousin’s groceries." The test showed she wasn't lying.
During the interview, Summer Walker also confirmed that Sexyy Red, GloRilla and Latto will appear on the album. Finally Over It drops November 14. Catch the entire interview and the album trailer below.
