Wale took advantage of his viral moment with Kai Cenat by flipping their awkward meeting into an ad for the Nintendo Switch 2.

It all started on Monday night, June 9, when Wale met the renowned streamer by chance at the 2025 BET Awards in Los Angeles. Cenat was streaming live when he dapped up the "On Chill" rapper, who had his phone and the latest Nintendo Switch in his hand. Their meeting seemed cordial until Cenat hopped in a black SUV. The streamer said the chat recognized the DMV rapper, but he had no idea who Wale was.

"Wally," Cenat said while reading his fans' comments. "What he do?"

After the clip of their meeting went viral, Wale decided to confront Kai while inside the Peacock Theater. The 40-year-old artist approached Kai while he was seated next to Snoop Dogg and called him out for not knowing who he was.

"That shit making me look crazy now, just so you know," Wale told Cenat. "They running with it, but we'll talk later."

Both viral clips gave trolls a lot of fuel to criticize Wale. However, it seems like Wale wasn't as bothered by the awkward moment than most people think. The "Blanco" spitta shared a video that essentially mocked the situation. He reshared the clip of their meeting with a Nintendo Switch bumper at the end as if it were an official ad for the video game console.

"Yall not on smash fr @KaiCenat #ad," Wale wrote while referencing the Super Smash Bros. game he was playing at the time.

The unexpected amount of promo arrived just in time for Wale. The Washington, D.C. native is preparing to drop a new album soon, and is set to collaborate with 4Batz on their upcoming song "When I Get Home." 4Batz and Wale's new song drops this Friday, June 13. Check out a preview below.
