Comedian Tracy Morgan left his courtside seat at the New York Knicks game on Monday (March 17) in a wheelchair after apparently falling ill during the team's matchup with the Miami Heat.
Cellphone footage taken at Monday night's game shows Morgan wiping what appeared to be vomit from his face before he was wheeled away from his courtside seat at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Following the incident, an announcer said the situation briefly delayed the game. The Knicks won their matchup against the Heat 116-95.
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” a Madison Square Garden spokesperson said in a statement.
Several celebrities offered their support for Morgan after video of the apparent health incident circulated online.
"Sending good thoughts to Tracy Morgan," Ben Stiller wrote on X.
"Prayers up for Tracy Morgan," former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III tweeted.
In his post-game interview, Knicks shooting guard Josh Hart told reporters, "We hope everything's good with Tracy Morgan."
"[He's an] avid, lifetime Knicks fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety," he added.
On Tuesday (March 18), Morgan took to Instagram to reveal that he vomited at the Knicks game due to food poisoning. The comedian shared an update on his health alongside a photo of him from a hospital bed.
"Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!" Morgan wrote on social media.
"More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs 😅 #goknicks," he added.
