Lil Xan is facing criminal charges after he got into a fight with a fan during his concert in Boston.

According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, February 5, the "Betrayed" rapper was charged with two felony counts of assault and battery after he got into a scuffle with a fan while onstage at his show in Boston back in November. Video footage from his performance at Royale Nightclub reveals the moment when the California native, born Diego Leanos, appeared to swing his mic at a man in the crowd below him. Moments later, you can see the artist punt the man in the head.

A separate video showed a security guard who attempted to remove from the stage. In the clip, you can see the guard pick Xan up and carry him away. Xan appeared to resist and fight back, which caused the guard to slam him to the ground. Security tried to keep the artist at the venue but he eventually dipped.

Xan was charged with one count for swinging his microphone and another charge for kicking the man in the face. The attack seemed unprovoked at the time. However, other footage captured at the event showed the alleged victim flipping the bird at Xan before the fight. The man reportedly refused medical attention after the police were called.

Lil Xan had just reflected on the incident during an interview with TMZ. He told the outlet he's been sober for three years and plans to revamp his music career under a new record label. He's currently working with 3rd Eye Recordings, which is a label under Universal Music Group. Xan credited his girlfriend Lexie, family members and his new team from the label with helping him turn his life around.
