The woman who recently filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs and his bodyguard for allegedly raping her is under fire after she tried to offer her former boyfriend millions of dollars to back up her claims.
Thalia Graves made headlines last month after she filed a massive lawsuit against Combs and his former bodyguard Joseph Sherman for allegedly raping her at Bad Boy's offices in New York City in 2001. She also claimed one of Combs' employees, whom she was dating at the time, saw a video of the alleged incident. However, the man she dated now claims Graves tried to bribe him to corroborate her story.
According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, October 8, Graves contacted the unidentified man in November 2023 and told him about her plans to file a lawsuit against Combs. In text messages that were viewed by both the outlet and Combs' attorneys, Graves said she wanted to sue the mogul "because he's the one that has the money." In response, her ex asked, "What do you n$3 mil?" The ex-boyfriend said he blocked her phone number and all of her social media accounts.
"It is very common that rich powerful men and their supporters attempt to discredit, shame and humiliate accusers who have the courage to come forward," Graves' attorney Gloria Allred said. "The complaint speaks for itself. Our client is looking forward to her day in court."
The break in Graves' case was revealed shortly before Combs' attorneys filed an appeal of the artist's bail for a third time. Diddy's lawyers emphasized that their client is not a flight risk and is actively trying to sell his private jet. He also agreed to submit weekly drug tests and decline all visitors outside of family members. Combs is currently awaiting trial at a jail in Brooklyn after he was denied bail twice since his arrest last month.
Combs' bodyguard Joseph "Big Joe" Sherman recently spoke out and denied Graves' claims. He called into Way Up With Angela Yee and shared his thoughts on the situation. See what he had to say below.
