Future is giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from his upcoming mixtape.
On Tuesday, September 17, the rapper's label Freebandz and producer Wheezy dropped the tracklist for MIXTAPE PLUTO on Instagram. The mixtape will hold 17 tracks including the intro "Teflon Don" and "SKI" with production from Wheezy and Southside. A snippet of the latter track was shared on social media earlier this week. There are no features on the tracklist at this time, but that could change as we get closer to the project release date. Future's third project of 2024 will arrive this Friday.
Future aims to take fans back to the early days of his career with MIXTAPE PLUTO. The mixtape's cover features a purple-tinted image of his aunt's home in Atlanta where his late cousin Rico Wade of Organized Noize once lived and the Dungeon Family used to record. Future, who began his career as "Meathead," entered the music industry as a second-generation member of the Dungeon Family in the early 2000s. The tracklist features an image of "The Dungeon," which is the basement Wade, Sleepy Brown, OutKast, and other members recorded in.
Fans have been waiting on MIXTAPE PLUTO for the past few months. Pluto first announced the project in May and planned to release it on the same day as Gunna's One of Wun album. After he dissed the "Bittersweet" rapper, Future pushed the project back in order to put the finishing touches on it. The Grammy award-winning rapper finally confirmed the project's release date last week following the final night of his and Metro Boomin's "We Trust You Tour."
"Tour was successful thanks to all the fans..Grateful for every moment in every city’ WE TRUST YOU 2024," he wrote.
