Pregnant Lea Michele In Tears Over 'Mean Girl' Past: 'She's Emotional'

Lea Michele has reportedly had a big wake-up call amidst the rush of headlines about her reported "mean girl" behavior.

The actress, 33, who is seven months pregnant, has followed the media storm about her past and is trying to process everything. "She's had a real wake-up call," a source told the NY Post. "It’s never easy to hear people speak about you this way. It’s a total shock."

Meanwhile, another source went on to confess that while Michele was certainly unpleasant to work with, the star is far from racist. “Lea was a bitch to a lot of people who are now taking the opportunity to come forward," one of her industry collaborators revealed. "She may not be the nicest person, but she’s not racist, sexist or transphobic. I would say she has behavioral issues that she's dealing with. She is listening, she hears what everyone says and wants to apologize. This is her past and she wants to handle things responsibly."

According to the outlet, the star has reached out to the Glee castmates, including Samantha Ware and Amber Riley, who have called her out publicly for her inappropriate behavior. In addition to reaching out to her co-stars from the FOX series, Michele has reached out to her co-stars from Spring Awakening.

Michele is currently holed up in her Los Angeles home, alongside her husband Zandy Reich, but her stress levels are high. "She's emotional and I know there have been tears. It’s a lot of stress," another insider close to the star said. "Sets are volatile places, but there’s no excuses for her behavior and she knows that."
