Former NBA Star Ray Allen Claims He's Victim Of Catfish Scheme

Former NBA guard Ray Allen is asking a Florida court to throw out stalking charges against him because he's the victim of a catfish attempt. TMZ Sports reports that Allen communicated online with a number of women who all turned out to be fake accounts ran by the same one man.

That man has now accused Allen of stalking him and testified as such in a Florida courtroom on Monday. Allen filed an emergency motion claiming his accuser was actually doing the stalking and is seeking a restraining order against him.

Allen claims his accuser has harassed him and his family online since he uncovered the hoax.  The report further states that Allen and the accuser previously made a deal to keep the contents of their conversations private, but the accuser has since broken the deal.

Allen played 18 seasons in the NBA and is the league's all-time leader in three-pointers made.  He was a 10-time All-Star and won championships with the Celtics in 2008 and the Heat in 2013.  Allen suited up for Boston, Miami, Milwaukee, and Seattle during his career.
