The Game is pinning down a release date for the sequel to his 2005 debut album The Documentary.
On Instagram, the rapper announced that The Documentary 2 will arrive on January 18th. Despite being a Sunday, Game chose the date because it will be exactly ten years after he released his first album in 2005.
On Instagram, he wrote:
"Spent the last 48 hours in the studio putting the final touches on #YearOfTheWolf & even though the date is pushed until Oct 14th I can promise my fans this #BloodMoney album will be better than anything else dropping this year ! Thanks for everyone who was apart of it & shout to my hittas @OfficialYonni &@MoussaGArt for grinding with to make the last minute changes to put this album in the can..... #YearOfTheWolf is finally done !!!!! Now on to 'The Documentary 2' dropping January 18th.... Exactly 10 years from 'The Documentary'..... Nobody is f*****g with 2 !!!!!!!!! So don't drop nowhere near me..... You've been warned ! For the people out there like me.... I salute all who are relentless at defying the odds to ensure their own success. Those who dream while still awake.... Game has previously hinted that he hoped to enlist Dr. Dre, Scott Storch and Just Blaze for the album's production work.
The Documentary 2 isn't the only project on Game's plate. He's also putting the finishing touches on a compilation album with artists from his Blood Money record label. Titled The Year of the Wolf, the album is slated to arrive on October 14th.
